After years in the Jewellery industry John Ciprian decided to follow a long held dream. Who knows why? Perhaps his heritage from the Dalmation coast of Croatia where centuries of grape growing and wine making, his grandfather’s vineyard and home-made wine as a youth, or even his father’s tales of ploughing fields in the Swan Valley near Perth with a horse, have all distilled into his blood? But here we are. Having planted our first vines in 2000, surviving a record dry for two years, we now have a lush, healthy vineyard with as little interference from us as possible. 

Currently our small planting of approximately 20 hectares consists of Riesling, Chardonnay, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Shiraz . We aim for quality fruit and tend the vines to produce maximum flavour, not maximum quantity.

Our 2005 first vintage produced our award winning Riesling. We plan to keep growing grapes and producing wine to that or an even better standard.
